SHIPPING SPACE SHORTAGE.
COMPLAINT FROM WHAKATAXE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHAKATAXE, this day. The. shortage of refrigerated shipping space is seriously limiting the work of the East Coast Co-operative Freezing Company's works at Whakatane. Xo relief is in sight, and according to the managing director and the secretary the works will be filled in a month or lees, necessitating closing, unless shipping space arrives. Meantime the company is refusing stock on account of the storage space position, and could do a great deal more work in the season if given sufficient space. Representations for relief are being made.
