Tie grapes are totally unsuitable for tabie purposes. The Vineyards must therefore be ploughed up. THE PROHIBITIONISTS SAY THAT New Zealand Wine may still be used as A MEDICINE. The Vineyards are not planted to grow Medicine, but to make a Wine for the everyday use of the people. Don't allow yourselves to be misled. £300,000 has been expeuded on the Vineyards, and at least -100.000 hy the Government ln encouraging the Industry ! NOW ABOUT COMPENSATION. The Prohibitionists state Wlnemakers. Vineyards, Hop Gardens and Hop Kilns, and Malsters do not bulk largely in lhe question, and tosrether the compensation payable cannot exceed £100.000, probably less. The Wine-growers, under this estimate. cannot expect more iban £27,. 000. That means that the Wine growers will I.c robbed of _-T...000 in cash and thelr llfe's work gtne. PREVENT THIS INJUSTICE.
