WORKERS' GRIEVANCES.
SUGGESTION TO THE KING.
(Received 9.45 a.m.)
LONDON, March 18.
Mr. R, Toothill, a Labour member of Parliament, had an interview with King George, in which he suggested that old steady employees of any firm should be entitled to enter the boardroom for the purpose of discussing any grievances with the directors, inetead of depending upon appointed representatives. Mr. Toothill thinks that if his plan was adopted it would eliminate many causes of friction between employees and employers. The King did not comment on the suggestion, merely listened.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
