THE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES. TO CONTINUE TO-MORROW. The Auckland district club championship matches will be continued to-morrow afternoon, when considerable interest will attach to the results of the senior games, particularly those between Grafton and University nnd Ponsonby and Eden, us these will have i a direct bearing on the championship prospects of Grafteu, Ponsonby, aud University, the three leading teams. At Victoria Park, Ponsonby, opposed to a strong Eden eijven, made 32. ln their first inulngs last week, a score which will fully extend the Eden side to beat again the Ponsonby bowling. University have been set a Dig task to pass the total of 416 .cored by Grafton ln their first Innings at Eden Park last week. On the same ground North Shore have made •ISO for nine wickets In their first knock again 'Parnell which, though a strong batting _lde, will have to be at top form to pull down the lead.
