CONGREGATIONAL UNION.
CONCLUSION OF CONFKKENCE. The Congregational lnion of New Zealand concluded its business sessions' yesterday, the How .1. Uce.l Glasson in the chair, and the usual large attendance of delegates. It was reported that the Kov. K. A. Bridger would lie visitiiv.: Knglami during the year. It was decided to recommend the Colonial Missionary Society to make all possible use of Mr. Hridßcr in the interests of New Zealand Congregationalism. The election of oll'uers resulted as follows:—Chairman, Ue,v. Harry -Johnson, A.T.S.: secretary. Key. .V.' X, Hunt; treasurer. Mr 11. Meadoweroft; registrar, Key. A. 11. Wallace: auditor. Mr' 11. 11. Miller: L.M.S. secretary. Mr \V. Mill; military secretary, Key. A. K. Hunt; preacher, Rev. W. Tanner. The Hon. George Fowhls presented the annual report. The balance sheet was adopted. It was decided that the Lyons bursary of £:{(» p,. r annum and £40 for travelling be grunted to Mr. Knineth Sauiulers, M.A., of Dunedin. It was announced that Mr. (!- H. Wilson had offered to contribute a further donation of £200 towards the war bonus fund for Ministers. It was derided to make a strong appeal to I churches to maintain and supplement this fund. It was unanimously decided to request the Terrace Church," Wellington, to release the Key. .1. R. Glussoii during the year for visitation throughout the New Zealand churches. The invitation extended from Otago to Imhl the next annual council meetings in Dunedin was cordially accepted. The conference decided to s< n<l a letter of sympathy to th" Key. (;. Carr, of Kaplan, in his present ill-health. The sessions closed with votes of thanks and the Doxologv.
