AQUATICS.
SWIMMING. AUCKLAND CENTRE MEETING. An executive meeting of the Auckland Centre, X.Z.A.S.A., was held last niglit, at the Sports Club, presided over by Mr. J. ■Fernandez. Delegates from Waitemnta, Alcaranu, Parncll, Mount Eden, and were present. A new rule was passed by the Auckland Centre that all affiliated clubs be allowed to hold one lliler-rluu event every i-.'lriiivnl. the trophies n»t to be less than 30/ and 15/. It was de.-idud Lluit the Auckland City Council be notified of the difference between the charge for the tepid baths for carnivals and the rales charged by the various councils throughout New Zealand, and that the .secretary of tbe Centre -write to the 'Mayor asking him to meet a deputation from the Auckland Centre in the interests of the swimmers of Auckland.
