TO CORRESPONDENTS.

O.D.—Your letter was mislaid. Any calm morning, and usually afternoon. HINDU HAWKERS. (To the Editor.) Sir,—l notice there are quite a lot of Hindus in thin city at the fruit hawking and bottle gathering business. I believe we cannot refuse them a license. But as there are white men with families dependent on them, and also returned soldiers who have fought for their country, and are not capable of doing manual labour, T think it only right the public should patronise the white men who are hard put to it to compete against the Hindus, owing to their mode of living.— I am, etc., JfJENACK.
