WEDDINGS.

A very pretty wedding took place at the Devonport Methodist Church on Wednesday, the I__ of February, whenj Miss Nellie Grigson Pickup, only daughter of the late Mr. Harry Pickup, oi Blackpool, Lancashire, England, and ot; Mrs. Pickup, of Rutland itoad, Devonport, was united to Mr. George Clinkard, statistician in the Government Office, Wellington, a returned Anzac. He has recently received his degree of • Bachelor of Commerce. The church was beautifully decorated wit—j flowers hy the. girl friends of the hride,, and the marriage service, which was: choral, was conducted 'by the Rev. W. J. I-lliot. The bride was beautifully dressed in ivory charmense, the corslet bodice being hand-embroidered with pearte, and bad been worn by her mother at her own wedding. Miss Nance Large, a] bridesmaid, was in a frock of pale' crepe df chine, a black picture hat, and. carrying a sheaf of pink asters and roses. Two little children were trambcarors, Donald Barton, in a white siit in suit with lace ruffles, and Nancy j Noy, who wore white net over shadow lace and a corslet bodice composed ol | pink roses. r.ie also wore a mob cap ot net and lace. The best man was Mr.' Harry Young. Miss Winnie Naylor, an old friend of the biide, presented her. with a beautiful white satin cushion embroidered in silver. A pretty wedding took place recently at St. Mary's Cathedral. Parnell, when Miss Doris Bright, only daughter of the : late Mr. Samuel Bright, Panmurc, and. Mrs. Bright, Parnell, was married to i Mr. W. Buckley, a returned j Main Body man, son of Mr. | .T. Buckley, Ponsonby Road. The! bride, who was given away by her! brother, Mr. J. T. Bright, wore a frock! of white silk, with tunic of lace and court train, pink lined, with usua! veil and wreath. Misses Pearl Pembcrton I and Miss Maggie "Stewart acted as bridesmaids, and Mr. D. Hendry, of' Gleumore, as best man. The ceremony! was performed by Archdeacon MacMurray. A wedding was celebrated in Hamilton, on Wednesday, when Miss _.' Pretty, the eldest daughter of Mr. and ..Ire.
