WITHOUT A PASSPORT.

Magnusson. a Danish seaman, was lined jC.) for breach of the War Regulations, that, being an alien, he landed at l.yttelton without a passport. Accused admitted the offence, but urged in extenuation that we was a loyal subject, having served with the Canadian Korces. Evidence given by the police showinl that accused was warned not to land without a passport, and that he evaded the police for two days.
