President Wilson, of the United States of America, is evidently the kind of ruler who means what lie says when, .it any rate, it cullies to the regulating of prices in war time. There is a rumour current in local shipping circles that the piling up of war profits in the matter of freight charges experienced a setback when tho ('resident made an announcement in respect thereto. The incident related in connection therewith is to the ellect that the captain of a schooner had artair'erl to carry a load of case oil to the British colonies at the comfortable remuneration of two dollars per case.
