The Department of Public Health wrote in reference to the medical examination ot the National Provident Kuncl. stating that under Ibe Act of IUIO the National Provident Kun.l Hoard may grant allowances to contributors in Incapacity. The payments gro authorised on medical certificates sent in by the Incapacitated contributor, it was asked if arrangements could ho made thereby the hospitals throughout the l)o-----liilon could he made eenu-es where contributors might, if dealred, present themselves for examination, and whether the Auckland Hospital Hoard would allow these giojiunations to be undertaken by this Board's medical superintendent. The matter was referred to the Finance Committee.

On tbe recommendation of tho Finance CO——ittee It tviis resolved that Dr. A. M. Grant be designated the senior —edlea! officer of the hospital.
