A LAND TITLE.
Hit* Honor Mr. Justice Cooper yesterday heard argument at the Supreme Court on a motion brought by the At-torney-General (the Hon. J. A. Tole, K.C.j to restrain the District Land Registrar (Mr. Bamford), from bringing under the l-and Transfer Act certain land at Miranda, the property of K. U. Kindlav. 'the land was originally granted to \V. A. Graham in August. 1871. and was described in the grant as being bounded toward the north-east and east by high-water murk. A survey made at that time showed an area adjoining a* being, covered at high tide. A survey made at the present time td bring the land under the Act shows such area as dry land, not subject to the average high tides. The question for the Court is whether Kind lay is entitled to the land, which, the Crown claims, has never been alien ated by it. Hit- Honor reserved jndjr ment, remarking that as a question ol" fact appeared to have been raised, it might he necessary to have it determined hv an action.
