Rugby Union's Management Committee's special meeting held last evening, but the following in the official report: The meeting was held to consider an application from the Wellington Kiigby Union for porniiseion to play the Auckiand v. Wellington representative match on Saturday next under certain modified rules. After considerable discussion it was resolved that the Wellington Rugby Union be informed that the committee lias no option but to adhere strictly to the constitution of the X.Z.K.F.U., as deline.d by rule 2 thereof, and cannot therefore, accede to the request that the mattb. Auckland v. Wellington he played under rnlee other than those of the" -anion. It was further decided to advise the Wellin-rton union that one of the suggested modifications proposed was expressly rejected by the delegates at the special meeting of the K.Z.K.F.U. held last year.
