WAIHI-PAEROA G.E. CO.
MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS. An extraordinary general meeting of the Waihi-Paeroa Gold Extraction Company, Limited, was held at the registered offices of the company thie morning, the chairman (Mr. l>. V. Kingswoll) presiding. A resolution was carried by the required majority to the effect that the company be voluntarily wound up, and Messrs. Kingewell and R. M. Aii ken were appointed liquidators. Press reporters were not permitted to be present, but we 'have been supplied by dissatisfied shareholders with a report, from which it appears that there was considerable discussion us to the legality of a power of attorney and of proxies handed in just before the first meeting that were accepted. Five of those present retired from the meeting, presumably to leave it withont a quorum. ar f d it is understood that steps may bo taken to ascertain whether the proxies used at the first meeting were, legal or otherwise.
