There were smaller entries of fat cattle and fat sheep at the Addington market today, and. there was a sharp advance in prices in each department. Store sheep were in keener demand, especially wethers and hoggets, no doubt on account of tbo more favourable ebippin? news. Ewes in lamb also sold better. There was a good demand for dairy cms, and pfes sold -well, especially stores, for -which Peninsula dairy farmers have been operating. The range of prices was:—
Store Sheep.— and -tooth ewes, to 37/10; failing-month ewes 30/3 to 25/; aoand. month ewes and lambs, all counted, 17/": two and. four-tooth •wethers, 32/8 to 40/; four, six, and eight-tooth wethers. 32/4 to 37/3; ewe hoggote, 29/9 to to 35/2: mixed sex hoggets, 13/3 to 35/; wetier hoggete, 19/3 to 32/. Fat Sheep.—Extra prime -wethers, to 63/; prime wethers, 44/ to 50/: medium wethers. 3D/C to 43/: lighter -wethers, 32/6 to 39/: merino -wethers, 31/ to 33/; extra prime ewes, to 47/9: prime ewes 38/ to 40 '< medium 30/ to 35/; lighter ewes, Sty to 23/6; hoggets, 25/ to 45/0. ■ Pat Cattle.—Extra prime eteers to £23 2/6; prime steers, £13 10/ to £20; ordinary steers, £17 to £19; prime heifers, £15 to £15 aG/; ordinary heifers, £10 12/B to £34----10/; extra prime cows. £20 30/: prime rows. £17 to £1S as/; ordinary cows, £S 17/G to £10 17/ G.
