Next day a brief bag containing another player's clothing was found hidden in the ceiling of the main dressingroom. When accused was interrogated he said he had been training as a runner on tiie Domain, and had so got the key of the small room. He explained that 'he whs training a football player, end went to the pavilion to find the man. He had then been drinking. Mr. Hackett entered a plea that this was a first offence, aud that Harris had broken down in health in camp and was therefore sensitive to liquor. His Worship slated that such thefts as this were contemptible, and had to be put down. Accused was sentenced to two months' imprisonment.
