GERMAN GRAIN SUPPLIES

LESS THAN LAST YEAR.

(Received 9.15 a.m.) NEW YORK, August 26. The "New York Times" Washington correspondent interviewed Mr H. C. Hoover (Pood Controller), who said that the Germans would have less grain in 1918 than in 1917. The extreme drought in Rumania, extending to Bulgaria and the Ukraine, had affected the grain yield, and Rumania now needs grain. Bulgaria was not exporting any grain in 1918. (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
