PolliH-k has been connected with sport, in several capacities for a great many years, and in his early days was a prominent athlete. Some few years ago he was taken seriously ill, and though he rallied, never recovered sufficiently to resume his duties again. Mr Pollock was father of the New Zealand champion runner, \\ r . H. Pollock.
