Oatshenf chaff Is also in good demand and stocks In store, which have been drawn upon to supply the requirements of stock owners in the snowaffected district-, will be still further reduced by a quantity that is to be shipped by a special steamer to Auckland this week. This vessel is loading chaff only on behalf of four Auckland firms. Potatoes are firm, there being an improved Inquiry from Wellington. The want of snipping is preventing supplies being sent to Auckland where they are required. For white varieties £7 a ton at country stations is being offered and for Dakota Reds 5/ more would be paid.
