ROLL OF HONOUR
LIEUT. HECTOR CAMERON. A report was received recently that Lieut. Hector Cameron, of the 2nd York and Lancaster Regiment, late of theNew Zealand Forces, had been killed in France. Since then a communication has been received from his father in Scotland stating that he has received word that 'his son is cwounded and a prisoner at Furstenburg, Mecklenburg, Germany. Lieut. Cameron left here as a corporal with the Main Body, and was promoted after seeing active service. On March 21 last his father was advised by the War Office that he had been killed in action. Subsequently he received a letter from his son to the effect that the latter was a prisoner as stated. SERGEANT ERIC JORDAN. Sergeant Eric Jordan, reported wounded, is the eldest son of Mr. E. Jordan, of Northcote, and was recently, awarded the D.C.M- He left with the Seventeenth Reinforcements, and has seen considerable fighting. His wife and children reside at Ellerslie. PRIVATE THOS. W. HEATH. Private Thos. W. Heath, who was wounded in the left eye in the recent fighting, is the eldest son of Mr. Patrick Heath, of Northcote. He left j with the infantry in the Twenty-eighth Reinforcements, and had been in the firing-line for the past twelve months.
