POLICE COURT.
(Before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. Annie' Maria Gill (54), who had been fined at Onehunga yesterday., and had been told that the next time she would be sent to the island, was caught drunk again in the early hours of the evening. She pleaded forf, and was given, a very last chance of keeping off the island, being lined 40/- instead. Margaret Wood ( 52 ), who had gone up to a constable in Symonds Street yesterday when she was drunk and had loudly used obscene language to the officer, was prohibited and fined 10/- and costs. Three first offenders were fined 5/apieee, and one forfeited bail. BUSCEIXANEOTJS. Samuel Arthur Lowrie, for failure to comply with an order of maintenance, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so long as he keeps up the order and pays ! 5/- a week off the arrears. Therket J. Peterson was similarly sentenced, the proviso in his case being that he should reduce the arrears by 10/- a week. Leo A. Copland, alias Boranoff (49), on a charge of the theft of £9 5/- at Christchurch. was remanded to appear at Christchurch next Tuesday.
