The recommendations of the Waterside Accidents Commission have been approved by Cabinet. Henry Carter (59), farmer, of Mangere, was found drowned in Manukan Harbour on Saturday. A married man named Houghton, of South Diinedin, was drowned when fish* ing off Cape Saunders lighthouse. Public meetings will be held in various parts of Auckland city and suburbs tonight to celebrate the fourth anniversary; of the declaration of war on Germany.
