SCOUT DISPLAY.
A combined display of Boy Seoul work Is to be held on tho Domain i.ricket Ground on Saturday, September T. by the Auckland No. 1 and No. 2 Scout Districts, with the object ot" interesting the general public in the work which the movement is doing for the benefit of bo.vs of all age?. About 300 boys -will take part, and the i display will be under the direction of I Lieutenant .T. r>. Omnpbell. military Instrllr-i-tor at Hie Auckland Flying School, wii > lias ben connected -with the Boy Scout | movement for many yean*, both in Great i ißrilain and New Zealand. The "circular i rally* and a march past will be performed, and displays nf bridge-building, ambulance work, firc-rightiug. physical drill, scout ! games, and cutlass drill will he given. [Another feature will be exhibitions in marquees of a number of handicrafts and hobbies in which the boys arc Instructed. The Scout movement is at present being carried on under great handicaps, trie chief of which has been tile departure of great numbers of scoutmasters on active service, and the executive is now asking fur a greater measure of public support and interest to enable tbo work (o l>. continued and extended.
