GERMANY'S MEATLESS WEEK.
I (Received 11.45 a.m.) AMSTERDAM, July 15. It is expected that one meatless week a month in Germany will save 300,000 head of cattle and increase the daily supply of milk by 0,000,000 quarts. The limitation is absolutely necessary owing to shortage of swine and the necessity for killing cattle, which are themselves undersized owing to the shortage of fodder.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
