BELGIUM'S CROSS.
MURDERS IN MARKET PLACE. (Received 11.15 a-m.) AMSTERDAM, July 14. A serious riot occurred in Brussels owing to German officers requisitioning for their own use all the vegetables in the Brnssels market. When the peasants protested the officers called up their soldiers, who fired on the crowd, (five peasants being shot dead and thirteen wounded.— (A. end N.Z. Cable.)
