LAST MAN ON FARM.
WARNING BY magistrate. (By Telejrajib. — I'j-cm Association.) CHRI.STCHL'RCII, this day. At the sitting of the Fecond Canterbury Military Service Board to-day, the chairman (Mr. 11. W. Bishop) drew attention to an advertisement appearing in a North Island paper, inviting married reservists to buy property tor uee as a shcop-farm. with the suggestion that they would thereby become "'the last man on the farm," and secure exemption I from recruiting. The Board in Welling- ' ton had drawn his attention to the advertisement, slating that the Crow Law Office was being asked to consider the question of prohibiting the publication of notices of this description. .Mr. Bishop warned reservists that it would not be sufficient in any way to say they were last men on farms after buying farms j for that purpose.
