The purport of the said By-law is:— 1. To amend and extend By-laws No. 1 and No. 5 of the City of Auckland. 2. To amend Section ix',i> of the said By-law No. 1 by providing an addi- ' tional route for the driving of loose • cattle through the" streets, and allow- ; ing the driving of loose sheep, upon a permit issued by the Traffic ■ Inspector. 3. To repeal Section 70S of the said Bylaw No. 1, ami to enact - amended fares for the hire of cabs. 4. To repeal Section 3 of the said By-law No. 5, and to re-enact the fares for the hire of horse vans. To enact new fares for the hire of vans using more than 2 horses, when engaged by time. I and to enact new fares for the hire I of motor vans. 5. To fix the charges to be paid for the carriage and delivery of parcels or goods in vans carrying parcels for more than one consignee at the same time. I 6. To prohibit the use as thoroughfares | v any part of the Parks, Reserves, or of Victoria Park, which is laid down in i permanent grass or laid out for the purpose of playing a particular game or sport, or as an ornamental or pleasure ground.
