ELLERSLIE TRAINING NOTES. THE FINAL GALLOPS. I-TON'NUALA DROPS DEAD. THE JUMPERS. Seadcuvn ami Novation were schooled o\er four hurdles in the centre of the course, the latter jumping better tUati usual. Sir Fisher gave a good display over four hurdles in company with Welshman. Bonnie Jean alone jumped the big fences It; the centre of the eonrse in good style. The Channel was set a similar task, but ran off at the second feme of the double. He was taken back and jumped well. .laei.riinda covered a round of the big country, going ovei the hill, fencing fast and well. Coalition. Bore. Collector. Te Manuirl. Tlrau. The second fence of the double brought Hautere to grief, but his rider was soon in the saddle again, only to fall at the old water. Another quick remount, and lie completed the course. Coalition and Bore led all the way to the double, at the second fence of which liore enine down, and Coalition finished in front over the stone wall, followed by Collector and Tirau. while Tetlgi pulled off after Jumping the fences on the flat. Glenhow, Advancer. Ambassador and Newton did a similar task, all getting round without mishap, and tinishing in the order named. Newton fenced very slowly. Sir John jumped the big fences in the centre of the course without mistake. NEW ARRIVALS. By the Rarnwn this morning E. I'ope returned with Gold Fran, and W. Windsor with Olnepot. others to arrive being Collector. Golden Grafton, White Blaze. I'addlugton Green. Royal Chef and Sandy Paul. FIONNUALA DROPS DEAD. After being taken back to the boxes at Ellerslie subsequent to doing half-pace work on the sand, the Spalpeen mare Flonnuala staggered and dropped ileacl. Fiommala, which was owned by Mr A. 1.. Haven, need at the recent Wansaiim meeting, her form over hurdles suggest Ing that she would he more than useful a* a hurdler, so that her loss is a serious one. ,Mr Raven lost another horse, Olendnlongh, lat the recent Avondale meeting.
