SEAPLANE ATTACKS ON BELGIAN COAST.
LONDON", May 2S. The Admiralty reports:—Between May 2S and 2C the operations of the naval airmen were hindered by the weather. Nevertheless they bombed Mariakerkc and Zcebrugge. Bombs feJl near the leek gates. They aleo dropped nearly three tons of bombs on the Bruges docks on the night of May 22. In home waters numerous flights were carried ont. Submarines were sighted and attacked, and enemy mines located. Allied aircraft successfully bombed the Austrian base at Cattaro, obtaining a direct hit on barracks occupied by" submarine crews, where a tire was started. Sir Douglas Haig's aviation report states:— Owing to low clouds and mist on Sunday, little flying was possible until the evening. Our aeroplanes dropped four tons of bombe in the neighbourhood of Armentieres and Frieourt. Wo brought down six enemy aeroplanes. No British machines are missing. Our aeroplanes dropped SO heavy bombn on the Bensdorf railway station on Monday. Bursts were 6een in the railway sidings. Hostile scouts heavily attacked our bombing machines over their objective. One of our machines was seen to go down under control. All the others returned.—(A. and N.JS. and Renter.)
