FARMERS , THEATRE PARTY. In accordance with the arrangements made for ' Farmers' Week." a theatre party was held at His Majesty's last night. There was a large audience, and the special Programme provided by a number of Auckland's leading amateur performers was highly appreciated. The humorous playlet, "Her Bumv Day," In which the pnrtn were taken by Miss Zoe Hartley and Mcshi-s. H. V. Roberts, and A. McElwaln was a feature of the entertainment. Madame Bpllu Russell, Misses Jessie Bartlott, Linda Murphy, Ana Symons. R. Harrison. Rita Sullivan Messrs. B. Drake, Robert Adams, and the Lyric Four, also contributed Items. The accotnpnnlmeots were played by Mrs PawBon and Misses Whitakor and Wood. Airs Pan-son conducted the orchestra. " ONE SUMMER'S DAY." A hand of well-known local entertainers ore to present the comedy "One Summer's Day" at His Majesty's Theatre, Friday and Saturday evenings. The costumes and different performers are word-perfect In their part*. The whole proceeds of the two entertalnnv.-nts are to go in aid of the Wctoria League Red Cross Fund. NATIONAL THEATRE. George Walsh, comedian, is the central flffure on the screen at the National Theatre now for he Is the leading character win. Way," a Him released by William kox, and presented at this theatre all the current week. "The Yankee Wayhas almost an Impossible story of love and adventure, and it has ben transmuted Into a laughable farce. It is called "a story of a thousand smiles," and this promise is amply borne out. The supporting series Is of a high class. THE TIVOLI THEATRE. Sessne Hayakawa, the Japanese actor whose skill ,n subtle character parts Is so much admired, has done "The Jaguars Claws !for Lasky, and this tense drama is now running at the head of the Tivoll screen bill. "Th e Jaguar's Clawsembodies a thrilling story of cunning and courage, and it has a most pleasaut tlnaJe The other films, too, are good The announcement for next Saturday is 'The Seven Keys to Baldpate." THE OPERA HOUSE. The programme of vaudeville which is being presented at the Opera Douse this week consists of Individual variety num"bers, a turn given on the lines of the oldtime Christy Minstrels, and a revue by the Walter Johnson players. THE KING'S THEATRE. The King's Theatre will be re-opened to the Auckland public on Saturday, aud Its management will present iv the future a varied entertainment, which will include farcical comedy, dramatic sketches, a few refined vaudeville turns each week and also a novel presentation that is called "Singing Pictures." OTHER PICTURE ENTERTAINMENTS. Under the Princess banner "Daybreak " a Metro lilni, has pride ol' place. The several parts of "Limousine Life " a I Triangle headliuer, in which Miss Olive ! lboinas plays at the Strand, are all very Interesting. J •The Wild Strain" at the Queen's is an exciting picture, supported by a chapter of the serial • 'Ureal Secret." Olive Tionias whirls through some very pretty scenes In "Liniousiue Life " the Triangle current Lyric headliuer. The maiu strength of lue Grand pro gramme lies in the picture "Shall We For ghe Her." The Triangle presentation "Female of the i ■Species" runs at the Glube. The headllner current at the Empress la "Klanie of tie Yukon," a film featuring ' Miss Dorothy Dalton. This afternoon and evening the Arcadia bill will be presented for the last time. The ■ feature is "Her Greatest Love."
