MINISTERIAL VISITORS.
The Hon. D. 11. Guthrie, Miniflter of Lands, arrived in Auckland this morning, accompanied by his private secretary (Mr. A. W. Milligan), and for the two days lip remains here is staying at ths Grand Hotel. To-day the Minister is busy attending to deputations and departmental business, and this afternoon ho visited the Returned Soldiers' Conference. Tomorrow he will lay the foundation-stone of the Farmers'* Fertiliser Company's works at To Papapa, an.l on Thursday morning will leave for Hamilton, ipendinp; till Wednesday next in the Waikato diatrict inspecting soldier settlements nnd dealing with a number of other matters awaiting his attention. On Tuesday afternoon of next week he will open the Waikato Winter Show at Hamilton, and the next day will proceed to Rotorua, en route to the Bay of Plenty district, where drainage matter* will divide his time with inspecting 'and for soldiers. On Saturday, .Tune 8, the Minister will reach Tauranga, and on the Monday will travei to Paeroa, via Waihi. reaching Thames on the Tuesday, and visiting Te Aroha the next day. Mr. Guthrie will return to Wellington on Thursday next week, and after a brief stay in the capital leaves for an extensive tour in the southern part of the South Island. The Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Defence (Sir James Allen) will arrive in Auckland on Friday morning to die-cuss several matters with the Returned Soldiers' Conference. The Hon. G. W. Russell, Minister of Interna! Affairs, is expected in Auckland to-morrow from Wellington, as is the Hon. Arthur Myers, Minister of Customs and of Munitions.
