AIRMEN ACTIVELY BOMB ENEMY'S LINE.
LONDON. May 27. Sir Douglas Haig*s aviation report states:—Flying was possible only during fine intervals on Saturday. We dropped over 300 bombs on billets in the neighbourhood of Armentieres and Merville, an ammunition dump at Vavssenaere, and the Bruges docks. We brought down nine enemy machines and drove down two out of control. Xo British aeroplanes are missing. Our night-fliers dropped over six tons of bombs on I'eronne, Bapaume, and Mariecourt. All the machines returned.-—(A. anil X.Z. and Renter.) The recent Allied air raid on Liege destroyed German military works and railways. Twenty-six persons were killed.—(A. and X.Z. Cable.) (Received 12.55 a.m.) AMSTERDAM. May 27. A German semi-official message admits that many British air raids were mad<? on Zeebrugge between Monday and Wednesday, and also on the Bruges dockyards, where a torpedo boat was hit.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
