ACCIDENTALLY DROWNED.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) 1, GISBORNE, Friday, s The police were advised to-night that [- Mr. Frederick Chas. Dette was drowned about seven o'clock while crossing the river near Whatatutu on horseback. He was 46 years of age, and is understood to be a married man with no children. He was a carpenter and a sawmillor, and was well known in the district. The body has been recovered.
