EIGHT THOUSAND ARMENIANS MASSACRED.
WOMEN TIED TO THE RAILWAY LINES. (Received 9.15 a.m.) ROME, April 5. Armenian refugees state that the Turks massacred all the Armenians at Erzeroum, totalling l 8000. Many women were tied to rails and killed by passing trains. The Bishop of Trebizond's feet were heavily ironed, and he was compelled to walk till he fell dead.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
