ENEMY RAIDS ON BRITISH FRONT REPULSED.
ADMIRALTY PLANES BOMB GERMAN LINES. (Received 12.25 p.m.) LONDON, February 27. General Sir Douglas Haig reports: —"We repulsed raids north-westwards of St. Quentin and Bullecourt. and eastward of Vermeilles. Reciprocal artillery combats are in progress north-eastward of Ypres." The Admiralty reports:—-Aircraft on Monday night dropped many tons of bombs on Oostkerke aerodrome and Bruges lock with good results. Two further raids were made on Tuesday on the Engel dump and the Abeele aerodrome. All our machines returned.-—(A. and N.Z. and Renter-)
