At the monthly meeting of the Town Board on Thursday evening it was resolveu to support the resolution passed at the recent public meeting re erection of an infants school in a central portion of the town, and Mr If. A. Hanan was appointed to represent the Board on the committee. The Lane! and Surrey Department wrote, asking the Board to forward the euro of £420 to the Receiver of Land Reveune in connection with the land which is being taken for the Board for the purposes of a catchment area, and steps will be taken to reserve this area. The area is about 400 acres. Resolved to accede to the request. It was decided to ask the waterlioring contractor to agree to making the insurance period in his guarantee 12 months nfter the Board starts to use the water instead of 12 months after he obtains a supply. At the first regular meeting of the newlyconstituted Thames Valley Sub-provincial Farmers' Union it was unanimously decided to nominate Mr J. B. Thomas for a vacancy In the directorate of the Farmers' Auctioneering Co. The matter of fixing the secretary's salary was gone into again, and It was decided to make it £300 per annum. Mr McAlplue was asked to retire, and it was unanimously resolved to offer him the position, -which he decided, nfter consideration, to accept. Mr P. C.
