TIRPITZ DISAPPOINTED
AT SUBMARINE CAMPAIGN. QUESTION OF ENDURANCE. AMSTERDAM, February 24. Addressing the Fatherland party, Admiral yon Tirpitz declared that the nation must show superiority to England in tenacity. The Western Powers constituted the greatest danger. Unfortunately, intensive submarine warfare -was so long delayed that the enemy's countermeasures impeded its speedy effect. "We, however, shall hold out longer than England." he said, adding that Belgium remained the pivot of the war.— (Reuter.)j
