MOTOR BANDITS AGAIN.
WATCHMAN LEADS ROBBERS INTO A
I Daring exploits after the manner of the notorious Bonnot-Garnler gang of motor I bandits were committed the other night in [the western suburbs of Paris.
About eight o'clock an automobile stopped outstde the station of Becon, near Asnieres. Its occupants, young welldressed men, entered the station offices, where one threatened a girl typist with a revolver, while two others went to the cashier's room. The cashier had been out, but returned at the moment when the bandits were attempting to open his safe. They assaulted him with knives, and, leaving him for dead, went off ln their car. Afterwards they proceeded to a factory near Asnieres, forced a side door, and were confronted with a night watchman, aged seventy-four. A second later three revolvers were pointed at the old man's head. "If you say a word you are n dead lr.nn! Show us where the safe is. We won't do you any harm." said one. The ancient watchmnn did not lose his head. Calmly, he said. "All right; I will take you there. Follow mc." But Instead of taking the bnn.'.lts to the factory offices, the old man took a passage leading to a room where several electri'-ians were doing night work. Then he shouted for help.
ITnfortunntclyy ! before the workmen could understand what was happening, the robbers hnd escaped.
The automobile (a stolen car) was found abandoned. Tbe Injured station cashier Is recovering.
