JAPAN EXCITED BY GERMAN ADVANCE.
MAY LAND TROOPS AT VLADIVOSTOK. (Received 10.35 a.m.) TOKYO, February 22. The menace to Petrograd is exciting the closest attention in Tokyo in view of the imminence of the complete domination of Russia. There is special significance in the presence of Japanese warships in Vladivostok. Japanese assistance has hitherto been purely naval and financial, but it may shortly take another form, because the continued advance will probably" give the Germans command of the Trans-Siberian railway.—(A. and NZ Cable)
