BRITAIN'S BIG FIGURES.
LONDON, February 13. In the House of Commons to-night Mr. Bonar Law, speaking as Leader of the House, gave some interesting details of British achievements. He said that last year 820,000 men had been added to the army, while 731,000 men and 800,000 women had been placed in employment in Britain. "Eight hundred and fifty thousand tons of cereals, and 3,000,000 tons of potatoes • have been added to our production," added Mr. Bonar Law. ' "We are the only belligerent whose food production has not diminished. A million additional acres were ploughed last year, while 1,200,000 more acres have already been ploughed this year.
