ADMINISTERING AN ESTATE.
ACTION TO DECIDE TRUSTEESHIP. At the Supreme Court 10-day, beforo Mr Justice Hocking, K. W. Dyera and others (Mr A. S C. Urowii) proceeded against Andrew Ranna, solicitor, of Auckland (Mr ,T. K. Reed, K.C., and Mr W. D. Anderson) in connection with the administration of the estato of the late Colonel Thomae V. Shepherd. In the statement of claim it wae aJJeg-cd that the plaintiffs were entitled to have paid I to them the sum of £9500 received by the defendant as compensation for land taken by the Auckland City Council in connection with the Jermyn Street widening scheme. Colonel Shepherd was cole surviving trustee in the will of Jane Shepherd, deceased, and his executors, the plaintiffs, claimed that they were the proper pa-rties to distribute the sum mentioned. The defence set up that the whole of the moneys received by the defendant had already been distributed amongst the beneficiaries of Jane Shepherd's estate, and denied the right of-the plaintiffs to interfere in the administratdon. The case is proceeding.
