.SYDNEY, this day. A deputation of Queensland sugar growers told Mr Hughes that the loss of sugar in the MaekftV floods was estimated at £250,000. Official statistics show that the number of horses in New South Wales on .luue HO last was ":i:5,528, an increase of 14.'2S(> over the previous year. Cattle numbered 2.70r>,707. an increase of 359.----OP7; sheep. :><i,170.7:!0, an increase of 3.579,00]; pigs. 350,780. an increase of 78,622.
