A German guardahip was mined yesterday at Langeland, in the Baltic, the crew of 20 being lost.— (A. and K.Z.) HUNS IN THE FAR EAST. DANGER FROM RUSSIAN SMASH. (Received 2.35 p.m.) PARIS, February 20. 3tL Marcel Hutin, -writing in the "'Echo de Paris," expresses the opinion that the danger of Germany's expansion in the Far East is accentuated by Russia's break up. "When, the Republic of Siberia is constituted," he adds, "we must have an energetic representative there, for the enemy will permeate Siberia and establish himself in Vladivostok. The Entente Powers, including America, held confidence to the last in the Bolsheviks, but President Wilson's eyes are now open.
