HUNS PUZZLED ABOUT RUSSIA'S NEXT MOVE
iFEARFUL OF LOSING FRUITS OF UKRAINE TREATY. AMSTERDAM. February 10. The sincerity of M. Trotzky is now- strongly suspected in Berlin. It is feared he is raising an army behind the Russian lines. All the German newspapers note that Trotzky cancelled the order for the demobilisation of the Russian Army three hours after he issued it. One German newspaper •declares that the demobilisation of the army is a sham. The main front is up, but the soldiers are reforming in the interior with a view to constituting an army of a million, probably intended to embarrass Germany fiurmg peace negotiations with the Allies. The newspaper "Cologne Yolks Zeitung" states that positive information •exists that the Bolsheviks are concentrating for the invasion of the Ukraine, but Germany will not-permit Trotzky to rob her of the fruits of her -Ukrainian peace. Warsaw advices state that war between Russia and Poland is now a fact. The Frankfort newspaper "Zeitung" states that a conference of politicians and military leaders has met at army headquarters to prepare a reply to .Trotzky.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
