Hr. H. Parata, the National Government's candidate for the Southern Maori eeat, has returned from a visit to Spring Creek, "Wakanae, and Kalkours, where he was well received and promised strong eupport. He -assumed that it ■was unnecessary to visit Croixelles, Nelson, and the West Coast, as the chief Maoris at Arahara wired Mr. Parata that he w«j]d get eolid 6uppprt there.
