" DAILY MAIL" ALLEGES FRICTION. LONDON, February 14. The "Daily Mail" states that the Government endeavoured to induce Sir Wm. Robertson (Chief of the General Staff) to resign. Sir Wm. Robertson considers it his duty to remain at his post unless removed. The Government is considering , whether it will insist on his resignation. : Several hostile amendments in connection with the Inter-Allied War Council will be moved in the House of Commons.
