A MAN DROWNED.
WHILE RESCUING HIS SON. James Nasey, a labourer, who lived at Bath Street, Parnell, was drowned early this afternoon off a "ooat at the new esplanade along the waterfront past the King's wharf. His son fell into the water, and he went in to save him. The lad was fished out, but the rescuers lifted the father out too late, and a doctor and the police tried artificial respiration till the ambulance came along to take him to the hospital. When he was taken to the institution he was dead. Mr. Nasey was recently in the employ of the United Repairing Company. It is understood that he has a grown-up family and a sou at present in camp.
