DOUBLE DROWNING.
MAN AND WIFE SWEPT AWAY. . <By Association.) . ' ' * NAPIEE, Monday. - A double drowning accident occurred to-day at Cabbage-tree Crossing, in the Tukituki River, near Hastings, James "Meary and his wife losing their 'lives. The couple were employed as married couple on Mr. F. McKenzie's station. They were crossing the river, which was in flood, in a trap, which upset. Later on the horses were rescued, and the man's body was recovered, but that ol his wife has not yet been found.
