RAIDS AND ARTILLERY DUELS IN THE WEST.

LONDON, January 13. Sir Douglas Haig reports:—We repulsed three raids south of Lens. Hostile artillery has been active south-west of Cambrai and in the neighbourhood of Lens and MesSines. An earlier report states:—We successfully raided trenches east of Loos. We repulsed a raid south of Armentieres, and dispersed working parties southeast of Monchy le Preux, in the neighbourhood of Arras. The enemy's artillery has been active north-east of Ypres. Our aeroplanes dropped two tons of bombs on an ammunition depot, in the vicinity of Courtrai, and on other targets.—(A. and N.Z. and Reuter.)
