1916 OUTPUT DOUBLED. HEAVY SUBMARINE TOLL. (Received 10 a.m.) WASHINGTON, January 13. The United States ship production last year was 900,200 gross tons, representing double the iOl6 output. Submarines last year sank 5,000,000 tons of shipping.— (Reuter.)
